As a food reviewer for Foodjoyy, I’ve come to appreciate the exquisite flavors and vibrant atmosphere Maggie Mae's offers. From the moment you step onto their back patio, the serene waterfront scenery envelops you, setting the stage for a culinary adventure. Imagine brunching with your pup, the sun glistening over the water, as you sip a classic Bloody Mary or a refreshing mimosa. You can't go wrong with any drink of choice here, but these stand out as crowd favorites.
Now, let’s talk food. The steak breakfast burrito and the corned beef hash have received rave reviews from customers, like the delightful experience shared by ‘Fittin to Learn ya.’ Their description of the food comes alive here; it’s not just breakfast, it’s a culinary hug! The country fried steak served with biscuit and gravy can make anyone's morning bright. Plus, who could resist the banana foster French toast? Each morsel is pure comfort food, tempting enough to make one "slap your mama”!

“ Great little place. We were here in Jan - it was too cold to eat on the deck. Fish and chips & meat lovers only were good. They serve breakfast all day. Andrew did a great job - very friendly. ”
“ Five Stars for Laura! I’ve been coming to this place for over five years, and Laura has been a constant bright spot every single time. She’s one of those rare people who brings genuine warmth and happiness with her wherever she goes. Always smiling, always professional, and incredibly kind — Laura makes every visit feel like coming home. Her attention to detail, cheerful energy, and welcoming spirit are unmatched. She remembers her customers, makes you feel seen and valued, and somehow manages to make even a quick breakfast feel special. Thank you, Laura, for your years of wonderful service and for always showing up with joy. You’re truly one of a kind! ”
“ What a fantastic brunch at Maggie Mae's! Started with a classic Bloody Mary and a refreshing mimosa. Opted for the Avocado Toast with tomatoes and two eggs, and it was the perfect light and delicious choice. The best part? Enjoying it all while sitting waterfront – so incredibly relaxing. This is our new favorite brunch place when we're in town. Big shoutout to Katie for being such an amazing server! ”
“ Great breakfast spot right on the water! We went during the week so it was a lot less crowded. We didn't wait long. My scrambled eggs with cheese were perfect, crispy edges on the pancakes which I LOVE and fabulous bacon! Great service and truly beautiful seating. ”
“ Absolutely love this place! Sit outside and get an incredible view of the waterfront. The food and service is the best around. I recommend getting here early so you can easily be seated because this place can draw a crowd. Will continue to return for the French toast as long as I live in Clearwater! ”
“ Maggie Mae’s came as a down south southern comfort family oriented recommendation that we were glad to follow through on. We were delighted upon pulling up to have been to the waterfront location before at Backwaters for dinner. Please check the hours of operation as the day we went, they closed at 2pm. Parking - Since restaurants at both ends of the strip offer valet, it was somewhat time consuming trying to circle the lot for a spot (police had someone pulled over in the lot). Please watch as some spots are for only 30 and 60 minute parking. From the outside, you’d think it was a small store, however, I judged and was surprised as the restaurant was deep and had indoor and outdoor dining. We opted for outdoor dining. We ordered breakfast, which to our delight was still being served at the time we arrived. Menu attached. We ordered an assortment of pancakes, eggs, home fries, bacon (no turkey bacon, but turkey sausages), chicken fingers/fries, hamburger/fries. The outdoor atmosphere was tranquil overlooking the water. Since we arrived early afternoon, there were only 2 other tables seated, and they left son after, leaving us with the entire back deck to ourselves. Service was phenomenal. Our waiter serviced our needs beyond our expectations. **The only recommendation I would ask is if there is a way to screen in the back deck, that may prevent the raven and crows from accessing tables contents and condiments. Birds were flying off with creamer cups, jelly packs, and even sipping spilled syrup. ”
“ This is the best place to go grab breakfast or lunch. They're open until 2pm. You have to sit outside to eat. It's very relaxing even when it's super hot out. Everyone was very nice and they had so much to choose from! The avocado eggs Benedict was so good we came back the next morning to eat again! ”
